Like his father and brother - Alister McRae is an important part of Scottish Rallying history and the legend of the McRae rally dynasty.

Starting in the Scottish Rally Championship – Alister went on to win the 1992 Shell Rally Scholarship, with the British Championship following in 1995 driving a works Nissan Sunny, which lead to further 2 year works drive in the UK Championship with Volkswagen.

Following a one-off drive as team mate to Colin McRae on the 1998 RAC Rally with Subaru, Alister progressed to the World Championship in 1999 with Hyundai brining the first points scores for their Accent WRC car.

A contract with Mitsubishi followed in 2002 which was a troubled year in an unusually uncompetitive car, before Alister started competing in other works supported cars and championships, most notably winning the Asia Pacific title in 2011 with Proton.

Fiona caught up with Alister to hear his Snowman Story
